While the rest of his high school classmates crammed for exams to get into college last year, Connor Leimer spent his senior year putting the finishing touches on his second album release ‘Postcard’.
“It’s everything that you face while growing up…” explains Connor. Furthermore, reaching into his high school experience presented many benefits musically, “…all my friends came together and played on it, or helped out with artwork, or production.”
Inspiration came from artists such as Jake Bugg, Jens Lekman and Van Morrison. “There’s reggae. There’s a folk song with fingerpicked guitar. There’s acoustic pop too. I just focus on the song itself, and let it take me wherever it needs to go.”
American Songwriter Connor Leimer will be touring in October.
